READ IT & WEEP: PRESLER'S NEW BOOK SUCKS

In addition to alleged grifter, it seems like Scott Presler can add author to his LinkedIn bio too! 

Described as a story about how he "got things done," The Persistence: How Scott Presler Cleaned Up America's Cities, Seized the Voter Registration Movement from Democrats, and Helped to Elect Donald Trump (ooft…mouthful) details Presler's attempts to spread MAGA and get Republicans to like him. 

And at the very least, he seems to think that he accomplished that. 

Hailing from Skyhorse Publishing, an independent publisher behind other titles like Tylenol & Autism, Amish Family Table, and Russel Brand's How To Become A Christian In Seven Days*, Presler's debut currently boasts a five star average rating on Amazon based on 11 reviews. 

"Inspiring." "Empowering." "A Must Read." Those are just some of the takeaways that people like "Am Erica First" were left with after devouring Presler's 264 page account, which is already on sale 19 days after being released.

How could this be? Was Presler gifted with the power of prose? Is it possible we've discovered America's next great memoirist? 

After a quick scan of the first 12 pages…it would seem that is not the case. 

From what we saw on the free trial, one thing's clear: Presler isn't like the other gays. In fact, debatably, he describes himself as an "alpha male," and he wants you to know it! His dad was in the ARMY! He likes GUNS! And he HATES that the rainbow flag keeps adding more colors! 

In other words, he comes off as what teens online might call a "pick me." But let's be honest…who would really want to pick Scott? 

As history would have it, certainly not the RNC, who famously refused to employ Presler full-time back in 2024. 

Presler uses the Pulse Nightclub in Orlando as an example of why gays should be Republicans instead of Democrats, arguing that if Democrats had better foreign policy and gays had guns then it never would have happened. "What was worse was that the Democrats were exploiting this atrocious shooting to advance their political interests. On Tik Tok…" he writes, which is an interesting, albeit impossible, timeline, seeing how the Pulse shooting occurred in 2016, and Tik Tok didn't launch in the US until over two years later. 

As an author, Presler also has a distinct penchant for the em-dash, a piece of punctuation that's turned controversial due to its overuse by ChatGPT. Now, we're not going to allege that Presler, who famously uses AI tools to watchdog voter registration, used ChatGPT to write his book. That's an unfair allegation. Especially when it could also be the work of Claude, Gemini, and NovelCrafter. 

And after all this, if you still want to read this book, Presler would really appreciate it. Currently, The Persistence: How Scott Presler Cleaned Up America's Cities, Seized the Voter Registration Movement from Democrats, and Helped to Elect Donald Trump is ranked at #21,239 on the Kindle Bestseller's List. Based on that metric, the Kindlepreneur estimates Presler is making just $68 a day on book sales. 

Only time will tell how much that number goes down.
