PERSISTENTLY BAD: PRESLER'S BOOK FLOPS AGAINST PROGRESSIVE TITLES

Is the grifter finally losing his edge? Apparently so! It seems that hawking lies and tall tales doesn't translate to book sales. We're happy to report that Scott Presler is officially losing the Amazon rankings war!

At first we were worried that his whole schtick (scamming, whining, fornicating in political offices) was catching on, seeing how his Amazon ranking had jumped from 26,000 after sulking in the 40s since his publication date. Clearly, Presler was pressed to, retweeting the scraps Trump gave him to remind people to buy his book.

Dogs will do anything to impress their owners. 

And while there's no way of knowing whether or not Presler is using his non-profit budget to scalp all his copies, one thing is certain: he's getting pummeled by adversaries across the aisle. 

Looking at the leaderboard for Amazon's "Political Advocacy" section, Slop Presler is trailing his progressive counterparts. For whatever reason, Amazon readers browsing political titles currently appear to be gravitating more towards…welll..anything that's not him. At this moment, the numbers suggest that progressive political titles are attracting more momentum than our least favorite grassroots organizer. 

Clearly, MAGA has a messaging problem. And a messenger problem. Really, it's all just Scott's problem.

In an act of poetic justice at #8, two slots above The Persistence, is Jennifer Welch's, Not Today, Fascists: The Lies That Got Us Here, and the Truths That Will Reunite Us. #5 is another slap in the face to conservatives, with Brian Tyler Cohen's Shameless: Republicans' Deliberate Dysfunction & the Battle to Preserve Democracy. And at #1 is Ben Wikler's This Is The Plan: How to End America's Meltdown and Save Democracy. 

If this ranking shows anything, it's that readers are choosing a side. And if the right wants to galvanize the same level of retention online, then it needs to choose mouthpieces that aren't so persistently…awful.
